Elaine is delighted to be directing this summer’s camp for Strongsville Community Theatre. She is an educator, actor, and director with over 25 years experience in the classroom and on the stage.
A graduate of Cleveland State University with a BS in elementary education, she has spent 12 years as a full time classroom teacher, and countless hours part time as a substitute teacher, special education paraprofessional, Title 1 teacher, and tutor. Elaine also studied theatre at Ohio University. Her true joy lies in combining her extensive experience in theatre and education. You may have seen her onstage recently at Broadview Heights Spotlights, Medina Show Biz, or in the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad’s improvisational murder mystery troupe, Get Away with Murder. |
Connie Laettner has been singing and dancing for over 25 years, beginning with her training at the Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts and attending Baldwin-Wallace College where she earned her B.A. in dance in 2003.
She has performed in musicals such as West Side Story, 42nd Street, Annie, and most recently Beauty and the Beast, Aida, Pippin, and Big Fish. Along with performing in community theater Connie also choreographs for area schools, theatres, and performing arts organizations like *MAD Factory and Northeast Ohio Creatives. She is a dance instructor for Dancexcel in Brunswick and Medina, mom to three girls, and in her "free time" likes to read and hang with her dogs. |
